Saturday 9th March 2019

Garners Field – Drop in anytime between 10.00am -3.00pm

  • Can you light a fire without any matches?
  • Can you boil an egg without any utensils?
  • Can you tie knots that will support you hanging from a cliff?
  • Can you build a bridge across a river?
  • Can you light a Tilley lamp?

These are the sort of skills we are going to be teaching, they are fun to learn and even more fun to share with your young people, come along all day or just drop in for an hour or so, whatever suits you, the choice is yours.

This activity is open to all leaders and adults in Scouting whether you are an old hand or just joined last week. This is for all sections, not just for the Scouts, we will be expecting adults from all sections (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers). Come along for a bit of adult scouting fun, learning something new in the outdoors, and as a bonus the skills learned will go towards module 18 in the training scheme if you need it for your wood badge.

Hot soup and rolls provided to keep you warm.

More details after Christmas but put the date in your diary now.
