SCOUTS AND GUIDES PULL A PINE EVENT – BOOKING FORM
SATURDAY 30 NOVEMBER 2019
ARRIVE AT 9.30am TO START AT 10.00. FINISH AT 1.00pm
Enjoy a day out, have fun helping us manage our Nature Reserve by removing invasive young Scots pine trees. Put on some outdoor shoes, wrap up warm, bring some outdoor gloves and join teams of Scouts and Guides at this event. To save using disposable cups, please bring your own mug/cup for hot or cold drinks.
Free car parking on the day will be on the site of the Rural Life Centre. Toilets are available in the Rural Life Centre but we have no facilities out on the heath. Hot and cold drinks will be available on the day. Please bring snacks/lunch as food will not be available.
We will provide tools such as tree poppers, loppers and bowsaws to help with the removal of the trees. Instructions on the use of these tools will be given on the morning along with a Health & Safety briefing at 10.00am
Groups thinking of attending should be prepared for wet, uneven ground and should dress appropriately for the weather. The Reserve is not suitable for mobility scooters or wheelchairs. All participants will be the responsibility of their respective Scout/Guide Group.
Your Group is welcome to take away as many pine trees as you can manage.

Getting to Farnham Heath: By road.
Take the B3001 south from Farnham. Drive past Farnham Railway Station on your right, immediately past the level crossing bear right, signposted Tilford. Keep to that road for about 3 miles. Just outside Tilford village, there is a sharp right turn signposted to the Rural Life Centre. Follow those signs. Entrance is on the right after 0.5 miles. Follow the RSPB sign to the car park on the grass.
